HEALTH ADVOCACY

Women's Health Advocacy (WHA) was founded in 2020 at the University of Oklahoma. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing menstrual inequity and women’s health disparities by providing charitable and educational resources for the University of Oklahoma campus, and greater Norman & Oklahoma communities. Our top priority is to advocate for reproductive health and overall health literacy.

 

WHA works to fight period poverty while destigmatizing the conversation surrounding women's health by providing period products, free of cost, to those in need while increasing campus and community awareness about women's health disparities.

In 2022, WHA officially became the PERIOD @ OU chapter working alongside the national PERIOD. organization to further the menstrual equity movement.
